Has anyone else experienced the "Beep" that occurs on a call? The caller hears it on their end - it is like a short beep - and you hear it cut out while the beep is occuring - lasting for about 1/2-1 second. I have the motorola adapter - been a Vonage customer for a couple of months now. Doesn't happen all the time - and not very often. Phone is getting all my bandwidth (no downloads or internet usage while I am on the phone). Any suggestions? Other than this problem - I love Vonage - and have been converting as many people as I can !!!
Thanks! Kathy |

Are you certain it's not a call waiting beep? |

Just today I had someone comment that they'd heard this. I didn't hear anything, only the person who'd called me. I figured that it must have been something going on with their phone, but now I'm not so sure.
Anyone else? |

If it happens when a female or child is talking on the phone this is a know problem caused by a high pitched voice. No fix yet. |

It's a lot less frequent than it was when we signed up over a year ago. Now I only get it if I laugh really loud.
It does seem to happen more when you're talking to somebody on a cell phone, too. There may be threads still on the board in the archives. I worked with support for a long time on it. And, as I said, it's better than it was by a great deal, but it's still around. |

I get it pretty frequently - it sounds liek someone is pressing a key on the phone when they aren't.

you can call support and/or email and troubleshoot it. they may be able to improve it for you. For us? Saving $50+ a month was worth a few beeps every now and again, but that's a personal decision and YMMV. |

I should add I've had Vonage for almost 2 years.. so it's not like i'm **** that much.. it would be nice if they sorted that and the random disconnects out though.
It could be the fact i have a first gen cisco box. |

we definitely have fewer beeps on the moto than we did on the cisco. we switched over to the moto last december. unlike a lot of folks, we've got it in front of the router, too, and have no problems with that. have had trouble with caller ID names lately, though, that isn't being straightened out so we're migrating to the linksys box. will let you know how the beeps are with it. |
