Just wanted to whine...

Vonage has charged me the $ for my desired VT2442, so it's finally on its way, BUT has also instructed me to return the existing VT1005V. The instructions include...

"All returns must include the original manufacturer's packaging, manuals, power supplies, cables and any additional accessories or any applicable credit will be reduced."

...I've had my VT1005V for over 2 years AND I've moved from NJ to NY. Box, manual, ... nowhere to be found! Mad Did you keep YOUR original packaging? Lol

I sent my old device (rt31p2) back in the packaging of the new device (rtp300). got full credit after I called and said "this was delivered a month ago and adrian signed for it, why is there still a $99 charge on my credit card?"

look in your billing history and see if there is a refund statement to your credit card, or just a credit or cancellation of an invoice. The reps have to manually push the credit on the account back to your card.

I just went through this. Although I did return the VT in original box and had to pay for shipping (usually RMAs have a prepaid)

I paid extra extra for signature, and I'm glad I did...

becauses I was just charged $84.00.

I think it has been fixed but it's listed a a "cancellation invoice" in my profile and I think they are just going to dip into it as my monthly charges come up as opposed to placing it back into my credit card??

I'll have to keep an eye on it. But it sounds like they don't have the returns down at all and charging you no matter what.

If you have a cancel statement, it will be on your account as a credit and they will dip into it for your monthly bills. If you call, a CS rep can refund it back to your card.

Thanks.

I would call the CS , but I don't want to be on hold all day and have to expalin this AGAIN. I think I'll just monitor it and make sure they take their monthly payments.
