I have no issue givinvg everyone the solution.. im just afraid that the more people who find out about it the worse it will get... maybe i spoke too soon.. Sad

?Lets wait and see until DIC solves the issue, then on saturday/sunday u guys can call me and i will give it to you, i dont want to pm it anymore as its a bit risky, this is honestly my last way of getting this to work, and so far it works, but if it blocks, i swear i will move back to the US... lol or wait to win the lotto so i can afford 1$ /min calls.

Ragga.. i suggest keeping it to yourself.. i've been getting almost form like inquiries as to the method to overcome etisalat's block.

not to get paranoid.. but we don't want to spoil this great thing.. and most of all, you shouldn't lose out on something because of your generosity.

lets see what happens with DIC in the next 2 days or so, I can tell by ip address of members if they are etisalat/tecom employees... lets just wait...

Until then I can recommend you a good calling card site for your family in the US to call, they have the cheapest rates with 1 min rounding and no connection fee...

Good morning to all of you. I got up and tried the Vonage, but NO LUCK Cry
I guess nothing will happen now that it is the weekend. I believe it is a holiday on Monday as well, so that may add to a greater delay. I really am getting pissed off about this.

by the way, ragga thanks for the info....(we spoke about). I may have to go that route.

I had a few drinks a fairmont hotel at peppermint club last night hoping to come back with a working Vonage suprise! and no......

how long should we wait? i assume when the weekend is over should be the last day... they are open 7 days a week i think .. will check and let you know..

Ok, just spoke with customer care, i think ashraf, altaf, something like that... basically he said, the whole freezone is having this issue, he said, tecom hasnt blocked anything and so they have queried etisalat however etisalat hasnt responded....

jealousy???

anyways, I getting increasingly frustrated.... i think everyone should cal them and threaten to cancel... *i put in my first threat today*

i guess no new information since the lower techs have no idea what they are doing.

Ragga - I called as well this morning and was told that Etisalat have blocked access, but that DIC management were working with Etisalat to have this unblocked because of all the complaints.

At the end of the day I would love to threaten them with cancellation however I think only we will lose out becasue this is the only provider. I think we just need to keep calling every day and being a real pain.

At least we now know it is Etisalat blocking it - however I did ask again and was told Voip is legal in the freezone and we are entitled to it.
