I am not sure if they are fixing it for everyone or only those with public IP Addresses?
If they fix for everyone I think I will be asking for a refund of the 300Dhs I paid.
I cannot understand why it is taking them so long. I am an IT manager so I know it is a simple update to their router to open this up. Not sure why they are saying one or two days.
Rant over!!

same here as well - absolutely nothing
Got the same story about the internet layers being changed and will be done in a couple of days
they also confirmed that
Voip
is not banned
I have switched to skype - but its not as flexible or versatile as
Vonage
as I am sure this community understand
I dont quite understand the folks who answer the phone - are they not supposed to be technical support?
I keep on being told that they will ask tech and ask them to give us a call - very strange I must admit
They take my number but never call back
Perhaps they have tiered levels of support. In any case, no one seems to be taking any responsibility for this
thanks

they definitely have tiered levels.. and among the tech support we speak with.. there are some that know whats going on.. and some that are completely clueless about anything
i guess its a wait and see thing.

Sorry to hear this guys - has anyone tried "escalating" the issue to the on duty supervisor. Unfortunately I am travelling at the moment and cant call them but it might be worth asking to speak to a supervisor - given we know
Voip
is legal

Post subject: Frustrated in the Marina
The DIC rep I spoke with this afternoon said that it is getting resolved and should be fixed by the end of the evening. I was a bit harsh with him and told him I will be calling back tomorrow morning or come there myself to have someone come fix this. I think we all pay enough money to the DIC (and
Vonage
) for this to not work. With all the expats in this area, the sense of urgency should have been better.
But thanks to all of you out there who have been keeping step by step updates on this frustrating situation. It makes be me feel better to know I am getting info from some technically savvy people. I just moved here 2 months ago and am very lost without my
Vonage
. Hopefully we all can be chatting away by tomorrow.
