Does anyone know the additional adjustments that Vonage can make on their end?

Two changes I recently had them make include
Setting my voice quality to "Very High" (I have know idea what changes were made when the the tech said your voice quality is now set to "Very High" and he would not tell me any more) and he said he set my packet size smaller (Norm. is 20, whatever that means, again he would not tell me what he set it to).

I don't know all the things that they can change, but they can fiddle with ring cadence and voltage, some parameters associated with Caller ID, audio gain, and which phone port is used in multi-line adapters. I imagine there are a number of others.

Is the advantage of a smaller packet size less data being transported per packet which could reduce the chances of a packet being dropped?

With the smalled packet size are more packets per min. being sent?

I'm no expert, but I think the answer to both your questions is yes.

Smaller packets will actually result in more data being sent because of the info inside the packet telling it where it needs to go. Smaller packets help when your connection is dropping packets. And yes, more packets are being sent per minute

I take it your talking about the header inside a packet, because of the small sizes of a packet header is having more packets per min. only making a small dent in my bandwidth usage, if it is even noticable?

With the way their system currently works, no. The adapters can do some form of distinctive ringing, but Vonage doesn't support using this.
