im in GA and for the most part my line has been fine except for the voicemail and the dashboard going extremely slow. seems to be ok now. those of you who also have a Vonage line as your only line, as a backup line, i use Skype to place calls since its free till atleast the end of this year. its something good to have when you really need it.
Here in my neck of the woods (North of Boston) we lost connectivity to vonage.com and dial tone. I tried to call home and got a fast busy. When I tried to log onto the Vonage site from work I got a 404 page not found error.
Sounds to me like there was a wide spread problem. I hope at some point Vonage tells us what happened, why it happened and what they are doing to prevent this from happening in the future -- if they can.
I too live in MD and have been having both internet/vonage go in and out. After 2 hours on hold with Verizon DSL tech support I was told that the storm was causing lines to go down as well as interference. Hmmm...It sounded like a generic answer given to an unhappy customer but may have some truth.
I also noticed my landline had a ton of static but when I called my home with my cell the sound was fine on the cell side but not landline.
