Post subject: Nice thread...
July 5th Humor here....
I am going to give
Vonage
-forum members the right to bid on this EXCLUSIVE Trowski previously used
Vonage
RTP300. This is a Trowski original! Own the RTP300 that this MVM used, be the first on the block. It was from
Vonage
(1 year old) and was slept on by my cat. It can be personally hand decorated by my 3 year old daughter (budding artist) and personally signed by me! Included is the electricity transfer cable, the sought after BLUE cat5 cable, and the orginal, yes I said original, paper based adapter housing unit (aka box).
Yes folks, bid on this one of a kind item before I put it on Ebay. And with this purchase comes a bridge I will sell you, directions to the end of the rainbow, and an exclusive molecular map to a drink I created when you mix two parts Hydrogen, one part Oxygen! Amaze your friends, grow more hair, get more women, act now!
*****-Please note, this is a test of the
Vonage
sarcasm broadcast system. This is only a test.. BEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

Would you do some consultant work for me? I'm very interested in you writing my Ebay auction item descriptions.

Of course, you are referring to Dihydrogen Monoxide, known to those "in the know" as DHMO. You should know that DHMO is a very, VERY dangerous chemical, that can dissolve metal, and inappropriate exposure to this dangerous substance in its natural state at room temperature can cause death in a matter of minutes. In some of its forms, death is even faster.
DHMO is a heavily regulated material, and rightly so.
For more information on this vital issue, see
www.dhmo.org
- you owe it to yourself to learn more about this highly dangerous compound BEFORE it claims its next victim, which could be you.

Don't.
See the article/guide I wrote below, with user "arcking"s help:

After my original adaptor failed, I bought one from ebay which was listed as new in the box with shrinkwrap and
Vonage
wasn't able to activate it. It was useful as an extra BBR only. After this experience, I went to Best Buy and bought a new
Vonage
wireless start-up kit for $129.00 ... it couldn't be registered with
Vonage
either but at least I was able to take it back and finally get one that could be registered. Best buy will probably apply new shrinkwrap and sell it to someone else.

I'd agree. They probably don't realize the issue. I know awhile back there were retail devices with legitimate problems (MAC unrecognized), but not sure if that is still occuring.

Don't know if it's still happening, but
Vonage
did and prolly still does have a specific policy to register valid but unrecognized MAC addrs.

I guess they can tell from the MAC if it's a locked or unlocked version, so they just activate even if it's not in the db.

Hey we need more votes on this thing before it falls off the page on Ebay. Vote!

Post subject: Another victim of TOS? Maybe Not....
Guess what. I bought an adapter off ebay, before researching. I had been a customer for 18 months, and a surge took out my original adapter. I bought a new one and they said they COULD get it swapped (MAC swap). The tech stated that they are changing policy all the time and that they are realizing that people can legally attain a legit device from the online world! Go figure.
