Did you ever rip up a hardwood floor and find carpet under there?
No, but the instructions that came with my hardwood floor (a "floating floor" laminate, actually) do CLEARLY state several times that it is acceptable to install this floor over linoleum or tile, but that installation should never be attempted over carpting.

Now, if they just had told me not to eat the cardboard packaging. But it looked so darned TASTY... Urrrrpppp..

What's silica? All i know is when I buy electronics and stuff, they come with little sugar packets. I thought if you eat them before reading the manual it keeps you awake.
