Good Day All
I am a new user to the forum and need assistance....please.
I use Comcast Broadband Cable service for my ISP. My network is set up as follows:
-> Dlink DCM 201 Cable Modem
-> Vonage Motarolla Data Terminal Equipment
-> Dlinl DI 614+ router
-> 3 PC's connected to 10/100 ports
-> various wireless devices
With the VOnage device out of the loop, I can send and receive e-mail through evrioue e-mail clients (Eudoria, Outlook Express and Outlook). When I put the Vonage device back in, either between the cable modem and router or just plugged into an ethernet port on the router, I am not able to send mail at all.
Has anyone had this issue?
Thanks Paul. |

This hasn't affected Outlook for me at all. My setup is as follows (ignore the dots.. they're space holders):
Wall
|
cable modem - Motorola SURFborad
(using Conway Corp. service)
|
Linksys 4-port wired Router & Switch (BEFSR41)
|............................. |
1 PC.....Vonage/Motorola Adaptor
|
900 MHZ DSS cordless phone
I wonder if it has to do with your wireless devices?
But most of all, I suspect it might be your router.
With the Vonage adaptor plugged in, do you have Internet connectivity on the PCs running your mail clients?
Also, this forum isn't an official Vonage website. Have you tried e-mailing or calling Vonage tech support about it? I think the number is 1-800 VONAGE HELP. E-mail is customercare at vonage.com |

seems like it's a port forwarding issue where your smtp/pop ports are for some reason defined to be something that's currently getting assigned to a device other than your computer.
check the port forwarding of the motoBox, it's in the advanced screens - if you can access it (my box doesn't let me - another thread here. |

zdoe, be careful. The PCs are doing outbound POP and SMTP. Port forwarding on the Moto or on any other would have no effect. I need more info to solve this. Do other typical 'outbound' applications work just fine? i.e., web file downloads, DNS lookups, outbound VPN connections?
