recently, after 3-4 days of using the Vonage service, my internet slows down. i can't even browse. its that slow!
I have bell dsl (high speed) and am really anxious as to why this is happening. I even use utorrent (a bittorrent client) and sometimes the speeds there aren't that great either - once in a while down to 3-4 Kb/s.
I need to physicaly reset both my bell modem and the Vonage adapter in order to get my internet speed back up again.
what is the problem? should i get a static ip?
is this motorola vt1005 modem just crap? should i return it/cancel my service? i'm still in my first month.
please advise.. vb. |

I'm using Rogers cable modem. I attached the router to the adapter, which is attached to the modem box. before the Vonage adapter, everything worked perfectly, i'd be dowlnoading at 600 to 800 kbps. now, non stop disruptions in internet, very slow speeds, can't even surf the net to get on this forum - i had to get here using my office computer.
so, end result - i hate Vonage so far. anyone have any suggestions? |
