I have been trying to get a return authorization code for our equipment for more than a week now, and I am not able to get through to anyone. If I use the stupid Vonage service, stay on the line for the 30+ minutes it takes to get into Customer Service, then when I get someone - they cannot hear me. IMAGINE THAT!

So, I try again from my cell, paying for every minute, and I never get through.

On email, I get only one automated response, and never a return authorization or cancellation code.

HOW THE HECK are we supposed to cancel this horrible service within 30 days, if they won't communicate with us??

Any ideas? Have any of you successfully gotten out?

Dude! I am having the same problem. I have been trying to get an RA# since June 13th with no luck. I am put on hold for 30 mintues and my call is dropped....

When I call back they act like they never new I needed an RA Number and then the above is repeated......I think switching to Vonage was a very bad mistake.

Their customer service is LOUSY.

If you quit whining for 2 seconds and do a search in these forums, you'll find a direct cancellation dept number. Call it, wait 30-45 minutes, and cancel. Wait times suck, but there is no other way.

Change your credit card number or cancel your card. Then they can't bill you and THEY WILL CALL YOU. LOL....put them on hold for 30 minutes while you make dinner and talk with your kids. Then pick up and tell them to call back on a weekday. I LOVE IT.....

Then they will see what it is like.

Aren't YOU a sweetie? I am guessing YOU must work for Vonage. I have called the number a half a dozen times. When I get them using my Vonage phone, they can't HEAR ME. Imagine that? Becuase that service bites. I am not going to use my cell phone to call them and then use up all of my time. I will call after 9pm. Will they be there then? Somehow, I doubt it.

My complaint has already been registered with our Attorney General who has apparently had so many that they are investigating them as a fraud case.

So, I am not the only one "whining", dearie. This is abysmal service and quality, and they are trying to wait us all out past our 30 days. It's called being a CROOK, whether you're a company or an individual.

I *am* actually cancelling my card. I have blocked any payment through my banking account (apparently I am not the first to request this, either). I have posted to my blog and notified all my "friends and family" that they should NOT get hooked up in this internet scam. As far as I am concerned, that's all this is. If I want crappy voice over IP service, I can get that for free!

Thank you. I just called this number and left a message.

I encourage anyone else having trouble like this to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I know it sounds quaint, but at least if logs an issue in a place where others can easily see something is going wrong here.

Keep us informed on your cancellation nightmare. And follow through on canceling your card. It seems lately that this is the only way to cancel.
