I've read a few posts but no clear answer. I have TiVo that makes a daily call and I would like to be able to have TiVo temporarily disable call waiting when it makes it's call. I was always able to do this in the past by using *70, but that now doesn't work. Does anyone know the right code with Vonage or how I can get this working? I know how to disable on the website but that isn't an option here. I want it automatically done via TiVo. |

As Reebok said . . . any chance you're meaning Call Waiting? On most POTS lines, #70 disables CALL WAITING, not Called ID; again, with most POTS lines and with Vonage, #67 blocks Caller ID on a per call basis. Not sure why you'd want to block called ID from Tivo, though. |

*70 does disable call waiting. Is it not working for you?
Have you tried programing tivo with a pause after the *70? |

I just tried again and added the pause and it now works. Thanks very much for the tip... |

I don't have TiVo but I'm wondering, does TiVo call a local number or a toll-free number?
If it's a toll-free number, your number will be disclosed to the receiving party whether or not you use selective call blocking. There's no way around this. That's just the way it works. |

It calls a local # and I'm not trying to block the call. I just wanted to disable call waiting so if someone calls me during the download it doesn't interrupt it needing to try again. |

Silly me. I'm reading this again in the morning and now I can see my "help" from last night was totally off the mark. That's what I get for trying to be helpful late at night.
Good luck. |
