Over the past three days, two callers told me that my voicemail wasn't working. One said he let the phone ring 10 times and the other said 15 times. I've received voicemails from other callers in the meantime and when I called from my cell phone voicemail picked up, so it must be an intermittent problem. Does anyone else have this problem or a suggested solution? |

Try cycling the power on the phone adapter. This should correct any problems on your end. |

I'm having the same problem. Happened twice in the past 2 days. Already tried cycling power with no success. Not sure of a solutions as it doesn't seem to happen with all calls. |

I cycled the power, but the voicemal problem happened so infrequently that I don't know if it did the trick. |

frankl, have you checked your received calls log to see if the people saying they didn't get your voicemail even show up as having called (hopefully, you also have an idea of when they called). I'm not suggesting they didn't call or dialed wrong, but, at least knowing if they're in your log will tell you if their call even hit your system -- in other words, it might help you determine if it was a voicemail problem, or some other problem.
And from what I can tell, the calls should appear in your log no matter what goes on at your end -- I've had my Voip adapter completely disconnected and received calls that forwarded to my network availability number -- those calls still show up in my log. |

Yes. I also checked my caller ID, so I know my phone was ringing. |

My calls are showing up in my log (2:09 PM today) and then I get an email from her that it rang 15 times and no voicemail.
I spoke to Vonage tech support yesterday and they had me power cycle the modem (RT31P2 Device) and go online and disable, then enable my voicemail. It has been happening for the last week.
If anyone has some solution to this it would be really useful.
Thanks.

This is a big problem for me also. I have 4 Vontage lines. Voice mail seems to work fine when you don't have forwarding set up, but whenever I set up Forwarding (simulforward) about an hour later the voice mail and forwarding stop working.
To fix the problem, just log into your voice mail and hit 9 for setup and make any other selection. This seems to wake up both the Voice Mail and the forwarding. I set up a speed dial to take care of it and assigned one person to log into the voice mail with the speed dial about once every half hour. But it is not full proof.
Since we do the SimulForward, as soon as we hear all the phones are not ringing at the same time we call into the voice mail. Fixes the problem everytime.
It must be a software glitch. Happens on all of my phone lines. I don't know if forwarding has anything to do with it, but that is what I noticed. Hopefully they will fix the problem before I move to Verizon. I can't afford to miss calls or have my customers think that no one is here.
Hope that helps.
