Maybe you should get with Roadrunner now that you've cancelled their digital service (right?) and get a conventional modem. The thing you have may automatically block ports that you need.
If the modem has an administration page, you may be able to log on to it and find out what adjustments are possible. Do you have a user's manual for it?

I think Steve is probably right. RR's digital phone modem is blocking ports needed by
Vonage
. I would contact RR and ask them to remove the phone modem and replace it with a standard cable modem. Cheers,

That's exactly right. RR's digital phone modem is a special modem and runs the internet and phone. The voice part is going to the dedicated trunk that no other data will go to. It's the advantage of Cable co's digital phone service. You need to cancel the phone service and swap the digital phone / internet combo modem with a regular cable modem. It will solve the problem.

Post subject: Thanks for the info
I figured that the problems I was having was becasue of the Road Runner cable modem combo................... I will swap that out and hopefully it will work...........
thank you all
