Well that is nice to have. Glad vonage added that feature. My wife just tried it and 7 digits is all we need again. |

Has this been fully implemented yet?
I tried last night and could only get 7 digit dialing to work when calling my friend who is also on Vonage. It would not work when calling other people in my area code who have POTS.
I am in the 845 area code - are they rolling this out a little at a time, or has my MTA just not received the proper updates? Maybe it would help to power cycle the MTA and force an update.
Any input would be greatly appreciated (also, why hasn't Vonage officially announced this as a feature on their website yet?) |

I'm willing to bet that they haven't mentioned it because they want us Vonage gurus to test it first. I'm sure Mr. Vonage Programmer is watching these forums and is using us to debug his system! (Which is OK with me, when I program a system for a customer I love to get their honest input!)

Methinks its being selectively rolled out to heavy knowledgeable hitters of Vonage. Its working for me in 724 Ac.
I tested it as follows
Vonage to Vonage call >>>>works
Vonage to POTS user>>>>>works
tested 7, 10, and 11 digit dialing to both Vonage and POTS users>>>>works |
Ditto in the 770, 404, and 678 area codes. |

From my experience, if the person you are calling is the same area code as you, 7 digit dialing. If not, 10 digit dialing. |

Sweet! It works in 315AC, just called my cell phone to test. I wonder if I should reprogram my stored numbers yet? |
