The Vonage terms of service change frequently It would be great if all of us Vonage users could have a heads up when these updates occur. |

Assuming that you are talking about the Vonage terms of service and not the Vonage Forums terms of service, this post belongs in wish lists not forum suggestions.
Most companies do not provide individual notification to changes in terms of services except when required. They specifically state that no other notice will be provided. Vonage considers posting the changes on the web site to constitute notice and the change goes into effect when that notice is posted.
You can make use of that by asking someone to monitor the terms of services page and send you an email when the page changes. Doing a quick Google search I found this tool:
http://www.changedetection.com/monitor.html
This will lead to false positives when Vonage changes the headers, footers or formatting of the page, but the date of the terms of services can be found in the last paragraph of the terms.
Finally, historically the terms have not been changed frequently. There were a significant number of changes relating to 911 disclosures and one that I recall that was a change in how the termination policy worked, but both of those changes were also forwarded to customers through other paths.
Specifically what changes to the terms of service have you concerned? |

Yes its correct to assume I'm talking about the Vonage terms of service not the forum.
I was wondering if they could be implemented in a forum update here, not on a vonage wish list but a forum notification since so many useres frequent this forum.
And which paths were the customers notified? I did not recieve any info. about the updated terms.
My concern is with the cancellation term changes. |

I believe, although I could be mistaken, that I received a mailing when the Terms of Service regarding cancellation were changed. I know I received numerous mailings on E911 issues. |

I save all my recieved emails from any business. I double checked through Vonages and I have not received any regarding a notification on their updated terms of service.
Realizing they don't have to notify a customer I figured it would be nice if we could be notified via this forum.
No biggie |

Thats alot of reading to figure out where the change took place. Too bad they couldn't print the changed part in red, purple even green.
I would imagine any Companies terms of service change on ocassion and it is up to the consumer to keep a heads up....... but come on couldn't they make it a little easier so there are no hidden suprises.
LIke trial periods or return policy changes.. Companies should just hire ME, I would do there terms of service announcements and the changes would be consumer user friendly ! |
