Thanks Steve -- I'm going to get it a few days and see if it remains consistent, then I'll start hammering my ISP if the upload speed doesn't move up to at least 80% or so of what it should be.
Now for my first Vonage problem . . .
I can't access voice mail from my Vonage phone -- I pick up the phone, dial *123, get about 30 seconds of silence, then a busy signal. I can dial my local VM number from a non Vonage phone and it works fine, I can dial an out of area voice mail number from my Vonage phone and it works fine (but that requires dialing 10 digits), and I can access voice mail via the web just fine. Just can't pick up the phone and get it.
I've posted this as a different thread, but thought I'd go ahead and include it as well.
Anyone with any thoughts? |

Are you getting the download speed for which you're paying? If not, I wouldn't let them get by with it. You'll probably get more attention now as a brand new customer than you would later. |
Yeah, I agree. rgnok, your download speed generally should be higher than your upload speed (at least in residential applications that I have seen). You should probably try contacting your service provider about your download/upload speeds.

[EDIT] I guess my original post was taken the wrong way, I'll rephrase.
Yes, you are correct rgnok. Vonage has been going back and forth on that. For everyone's edification, this is the post that you were probably referring to.

Is there a test more important than the wife test? |

You actually meant to say, not in my wife's house that she lets me live in too! |
