I've read the TOS, but I still cant find what I'm looking for.
I know that you get charged $39.99 disconnect fee within the first 12 months. What happens if you cancel after the first 12 months, and, I bought my adapter at Radio Shak, do I need to return it if cancelling?
My year is up in July and time warner finally has digital phone service in my area. Of the disconnect fee is the same after the first 12 months as it is before, then I'll switch now. If not. I'll wait till the 12 months is officially up.
Thanks |

Right out of the TOS
If you disconnect Vonage service after the Money Back Guarantee period (see section 3.7), but within the first twelve months, Vonage charges a disconnection fee of $39.99 per line.
Adapter is your newest doorstop. |

You should not have to return the adapter and you should not be charged a cancellation fee.
I'll not 100% certain about the adapter, but I am sure that you are not supposed to be charged a cancellation fee once you have had service for 12 months. |

That part I read. My question was about cancelling AFTER the first 12 months....
Thanks butterman, I'll wait through the 12 month period, it's just one more month anyway. |

The cancellation fee applies to lines cancelled within one year of being activated. Conversly, there is no cancellation fee after one year.
The device is yours, and in all reality, probably going to be useless to you. |

It depends on which device. My old WRRTP54g works fine as a wireless router at our church. Just the phone ports are not used. |
