Post subject: Does it work with Belkin Pre N Router and others N routers
Will
Vonage
work with the Belkin Pre N router or any of the new Draft N Routers coming out?
If so what do I need to do to get it working?
Will there be a problem with the quality?

i personally do not have a pre-N router but I would assume that if they have similar chipsets that you will need to disable the routers firewall and DMZ. The reason behind this is that Belkin routers security features with these enable will cause you fits. The router believes your network is being compromised due the large amounts of packet movement and will disable the phone adapter if you do not disable the firewall and DMZ on the router.

I am using a Belkin Pre-N router with the Linksys box from
Vonage
. I have had no problems with this setup. I did nothing special to the Belkin router. I simply plugged the Linksys into one of the Belkin ports and went on my way. No issues at all.
The "Pre-N" only affects the wireless part. The wired ports will act the same as on any other router.

It worked with mine, but I was getting terrible interference from my phone. Others could get different results. Phones, routers, connections and modems could make the difference between a pleasant money saving company or a calling nightmare.
