Ironically, the class action lawsuit should actually help Vonage when it comes to payments. As many of the non-payers believe, they are just "small fish in a big pond" that Vonage won't come after if they refuse to pay. But at the same time, they're all joining together in these big class action lawsuits. So instead of having to chase after 20 - 50 thousand non-payers, they can prove their case in court, win, then just collect one big payment from all the plaintiffs. Bottom line, it's pointless to argue with these people who are adamant about not paying. No matter what you say, how you denigrate them, in their minds they are right. It doesn't matter if it's $5 or $5000, they feel slighted and ripped off by a company that offered them an opportunity to help keep them profitable. In return, the company was hoping to reward them with profits from hugh returns on the stock. Unfortunately, it didn't work that way. So hang on to your small amounts of money and wait for the lawsuits to begin - if they ever make it that far. If the cases just go to arbitration, you'll spend more time and money flying to New York City, New Orleans, or wherever they'll hold the meetings than what you've lost in the stock you purchased. Just make sure this is the last time you invest in the market. The more posts I read from the non-payers, the more I believe they have no clue how the stock market works. |
