Hi,
I have Vonage Softphone account. I am using it on my laptop and for getting calls I need to keep my software running on my laptop. If I forget switching on my software I don't recieve calls. Instead I was thinking If I buy an IPphone and set the SIP configuration on the phone use it without any issues but now the problem the phone is fixed in one room. I need use it everywhere in the house. Hence thought of connecting a cordless to the IP phone, is it possible?
Like is there an adapter where RJ45 is converted to RJ 11 hence I can connect the cordless and use it Internet phone..
I am looking for a solution for that... I have vonage account, IP phone ready, but can't use with cordless?
Any idea about configuring this setup?
Awaiting your response!
Thanks,
Vijay |

If I understand your question, all you need is an unlocked VoIP adapter.
Just like your primary Vonage adapter converts IP to analog phone, an unlocked adapter can do the same thing for a soft phone line. |

You will need an adapter. Try eBay. Just make sure it is unlocked. Even if you don't trust eBay, adapters aren't any more expensive than IP phones. |

I have a Vonage Softphone account.
I purchased an adaptor from http://www.phoneconnector.com for about $35 and a VTech 5.8Gh cordless phone (got in a deal for $10).
The combinatio works great. I had problems initially, but found out that they are due to a 900Mhz cordless phone i was using. I changed the phone, and everything works fine now. |
