I am about to go spray a bee's nest in my lawn.

If you do not hear back from me for a while, well; then you know how it turned out.

I suggest that before you go out to tackle the bees again you set up a video camera and play the Woo-woo soundtrack.

Try soap and water on the nest. Some insect sprays do not hide the "scent" and the bees will swarm back. Even if you knock down the nest, the scent to what the nest was attached will still be present.

I had to bring in the big guns. Unfortunately, they destroyed my lawn also.
