Hi all.. just a quick question about how to access the web diag page on my moto vt1005v TA behind my dual wan router.
My setup is basically 2 pcs, 1 ta on a dual wan router.. Cable modem and a DSL modem are my two connections.
My router is set as 192.168.1.1, two pcs grab ips via dhcp, and my ta device has a static ip of 192.168.1.2.
My ta device has dhcp turned off on the pc port of it as I don't have anything plugged into it.
My question is how can I access my TA's diag page at 192.168.102.1 behind my router?? I can access my two modems diag pages at 192.168.100.1 and 192.168.10.1 just fine without adding any routing statements or anything..
Any help would be appreciated... right now the only way for me to access it would be to plug one of the pcs straight into the lan (pc) port on the ta... |

most of the linksys devices have an option to enable/disable remote administration, which is what you want. I'm not sure if the vt1005 has this option, but plug a computer into it and search around. |

And since you turned off DHCP on the VT1005 (right?), you'll have to set a static address on the PC that you plug in to get back to the admin page. I haven't found anything about remote admin in the user's manual, but it's worth a try. |

Yes I did turn DHCP off on the ta. I searched around the page on the ta and there is no mention of remote admin or anything of the sort.
There has to be a way..
Strange that Motorola would only allow access to that page from the lan side. I wonder if hooking a cat cable to the lan port and then to the router would work.. well then again nope.
Well thanks anyway for the replies, it was worth a shot. |
