the test is run over a TCP/IP connection. While that's a useful indicator, bear in mind that
Vonage
(like most
Voip
services) actually use UDP.....
This test does use UDP for the
Voip
test.
You can click the letter 'i' on the applet once the test completes to see the data detail.
The UDP port is indicated on about the 7th line, 'beginning test...'

It's nice to know that the test is using UDP, but I am still confused by the poor test results - it seems to be in direct conflict with the empirical evidence. My internet connection has proven to work very well with the
Vonage
service, but the test results indicate that it should not work at all.
I was going to try to see the UDP info that you mentioned, but the link now returns a blank screen with an "X" in the upper-left corner.

After you run the test, click on the applet and then press your "i" key. That should open it up.

Okay, it's working again now, and I can see the " i " results...although I am still mystified by the results...
I started a new thread about the results...perhaps that will bring some answers...or at least a consensus...

I just received word that the server that is hosting our speed test is having processor issues (and has since 3:00PM GMT) which may effect the test results.
I will post an update when I have one.

Ah-ha! Now my connection tests as good!
So, now what we need is a test to test the test...

Sweet, I just tested my
Voip
and got a MOS score of 3.9. I am very pleased. My ISP is Comcast.
