I was trying to reconfigure my ports on my VT1000. I am a DJ on the side and like using torrents (BitTorrent) to upload my Mixes.
Well problems started when I couldn't forward my ports properly and tried tons of ports trust me. I went through the addy of http://192.168.102.1 and changed things from there and nothing worked.
So I decided to go through and turn on the DMZ Setting and reconfigure my TCP/IP through my Internet Connection on XP. Well still nothing worked and I was going back and forth turning off and on the DMZ to get my internet access back.
Well anyways, I hit a point in which I could not access http://192.168.102.1 anymore. The page doesn't even load up and now I can't even access the web from the comp. I have to now physically disconnect the Vonage router and hook directly up the my cable modem to access the web but now I have no phone. If I want to use the phone I have to reconnect up the Vonage Router to make phone calls/receive phone calls but now I don't have internet access.
So is there a way to reset the Vonage Router Config? There's no button on it like other normal routers. I've tried powering my modem, minute later, my Vonage Router, then a minute later my PC. I've tried through ipconfig to release and renew, right clicked on my internet connection under (Internet Connections) and clicked repair, (Which is basically the same thing with ipconfig) and still nothing. It just comes up in the 169.*.*.* (Automatic private IP) Range.
I've tried calling them but thier phone just keeps ringing. I love thier service because I have family all over the states and I want to get this working. |

In order to get back in, plug your computer to the pc port on the vt1000v. From a dos prompt, type 'ipconfig'. If your not picking up a 192.168.102.x, then the DHCP on the vt1000 is hosed, so just hard code (via TCP IP settings in your computer) one in like 192.168.102.100, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway = 192.168.102.1. Now on your browser, goto 192.168.102.1 and you'll be in the vt1000v menu. |
