for people who have been experiencing tech issues with your softphone, try to re-install the program first and check later if you're still having the same error/issue

if you're having a "login failed..." error message when logging in to your SP, do this.
go to your account>>Features tab>>Manage Softphone>> click on configure/continue button>> copy the username and password listed next>> bring up your login screen for softphone then erase everything that is listed in there as well as uncheck all boxes checked>>then paste the username and password..you're done.
