Did any of you idiots read the prospectus?
Did you skip the part where it said that Vonage was not making any money?

No wonder you lost all your money!

Vonage did a great job gathering up all this money so they can jump ship!

Nice! You made the effort to join just to post this message? You must have some serious time on your hands?

If you must know I read the prospectus three times, and I read each amended prospectus just as I do with every company that I invest in. Clearly you have not read a prospectus before because if you had you would know that they all list the risk of investing and I've never really seen one that says hey were making money hand over foot, buy us and join in on the fun.

I understood that Vonage had not turned a profit but I also understood that they were spending a ton of cash on marketing as any up and coming company would be to build a customer base. Eventually that customer base starts to turn a profit.

This was a risky investment and anyone who says it wasn't shouldn't have been involved in it.

How about posting something useful or move on....

Please, The prospectus was HORRIBLE!

You normally invest, eh? With what, monopoly money? If you had any brains you wouldn't have put a nickle into VG!

ah great another one! I mean really.

Invest? yes. I read the Google prospectus forward and back ten times and it wasn't anything to get to excited about. That turned out pretty good for me. Wikes... the Mastercard prospectus didn't look good either with all of those pending lawsuits... Still doing good.

I'd have to do some serious digging to find a IPO that had a decent looking prospectus.

Michael, what is the purpose of your posts?
I too felt Vonage was priced too high, but there will always be differences of opinion - if there were not, there would be no market.

If other people lose money, and you gain nothing, how can you see this as a good thing?

I feel sorry for all of those who lost money on the Vonage IPO, and while I might not have agreed with their analysis of the company and the prospectus, I certainly respect them, and can see no useful purpose of posting messages like the ones you posted.
