Wanted to check if i can get Vonage service using my ISP.
My ISP gives a static IP and in addition to that has a username password that i need to enter when i first try to access any web page. My apartment has a Ethernet Cable coming in, i plug it into my computers ethernet port.
I have read in the forum that Vonage would not allow the units to be assigned static ip. So with my ISP's first constraint, i cannot hook Vonage box to the ethernet wire.
Wanted to know which router i can use where i can enter both a static IP and username/password to get it working with my ISP and then hook my Vonage to the router.

I'm not sure where in the forums you read that Vonage won't allow their routers to be assigned a static IP. You can set the router up that way if you'd like. Also, I believe most, if not all, of the routers support PPPoE connections such as what you've described.
