Any other customer in the 416 647 area code not getting names in the call display (only phone numbers) in incoming calls?
Customer service tells me I am the only one in Toronto having that problem, and somehow I think I am not...

Only after my neighbor pointed out that their caller ID wasn't showing up anymore, I looked in my phone's call log and saw the same thing.

Lately I've been getting "FL WIRELESS" or "CA WIRELESS" instead of the name. I used to get the caller's name.

And from landline calls, I get either just the phone number as the caller ID info or just "UPLAND IN" (Upland, Indiana) as the caller ID.

I live in the Indianapolis area. Anyone else experiencing this lately (i.e. within the last 2 weeks)??

Occassionally, I still get the correct caller ID information, but it is consistently from the same few numbers.

I hope this isn't the beginning of a downhill quality of service...

Are the few numbers that you still consistently get correct part of your phone's memory? (in your directory)
In my case the only numbers that come with name are the ones I have recorded in the phone, not because Vonage is sending them as part of the info, but because my telephone match the numbers with the names that are in its memory.

I wish my home phone had the feature, but unfortunately it doesn't. My cell phone does.

My mother-in-law calls from work, and the company names shows up. I checked and this caller ID info is not programmed into the phone.

Very weird.

Funny you mentioned this...

Same here -- all calls coming in from Toronto (416) as of last night, no longer have name & number... just number -- name section says UNKNOWN NAME.

Wonder if Vonage is aware of this???

You are lucky if it is only all the incoming calls coming from the 416 area code! In my case I don't get a name in ANY incoming calls.
I am not sure if they are aware of the your particular situation, they KNOW about my problem for almost a month now, and they are still WORKING on the problem (slow way to work if you ask me)
It would be good if you gave them a call and ask to talk with the T2 guys

caller ID's phonebook? this might help you..

by the way, are they also a Vonage user..???

I've always gotten name & number from all calls in Canada -- just last night all inbound from 416 had no name, just number.

Sounds like a glitch over at Vonage to me... I'm not going to spend any time fiddling around with settings as my specs haven't changed in years.

Gotta be a Vonage issue.

That suggestion doesn't really cut it. I am paying for a service that offers caller ID with name, and I am not getting the service it was offered (advertised) If Vonage would give me a discount due to the problem then the situation would be different.
I have had caller ID with name for years with other phone company, and I am used to see who is calling me.
I do have some numbers (with their respective names) in my phone directory, but I also like to see who calls me regardless of the person being registered in my phone.
And no, the problem is not with Vonage customers (I know that the name doesn't show when calling) the problem is with ANY other phone calling outside the network.
