Anyone know how this might work? I cannot get anyone at Vonage understand English enough to ask and explain this to. I just signed up for Vonage on 05/15/06, I got the Motorola VT1000 unit from Vonage and it will not keep the signal for anything. I also had a Linksys wireless router hooked up from the Motorola unit and it does not loss it's signal. I want to get everything into one unit so I want to but the Linksys WRTP54G, which has all that. Currently Fry Electronics has the Linksys WRTP54G for $99.99 and a $60.00 rebate from Vonage after 60 days of service. I called Vonage to find out since I just singed up and am having trouble with the Motorola unit, if I could but this Linksys WRTP54G and still get the rebate from them, but no one there comprehends enough English to understand the question. Anyone know or think the rebate is still good for me? Here's what the rebate info says:

1. Purchase a Linksys WRTP54G between April 2, 2006 and July 15, 2006 at participating retailers.
2. Activate your Vonage service within 15 days of purchase. Your service must remain active
for at least 60 days.
3. Complete this form (incomplete forms will not be accepted)
4. Mail the following in one envelope:
· This completed rebate form
· Copy of your sales receipt/packing slip (circle the qualifying Vonage enabled service router)
· Original, Photocopy or handwritten MAC address label cut from the product's package (see example)
5. Your submission must be postmarked within 30 days of Vonage service activation.

My guess is that you are out of luck with the account you signed up for on 5/15 since they already sent you a VT1000. The rebate offers generally apply only to new subscriptions. From reading many of the posts here, I would guess that you will be hard pressed to get Vonage -- and one who speaks perfect English -- to agree to take back the VT 1000 they sent you and mail you the $60 rebate.

One option is to cancel your service, and sign back up with the router bought at Fry's. Just be careful about anything in the deal that says it's for new customer's only.

I have been a Vonage customer for a while now... I also bought this router to add to an existing service.

All I can suggest is just send all the information in and see if you get a check, if not, you'll probably forget about it by then anyway, if so, then hey, $60 you forgot about came back to you!

The unit is a great investment with or without the rebate, so I would just get it.
