And as of today, the 877 number rings to an office that apparently has today off. Tremendous. Why do I get the feeling the ppl who phvcked up are not going to have to take responsibility?

My conversations with Smith Barney have been reasonable and amicable-- thus far. They are going to IDEAL (the website that runs WWW.VONAGEIPO.COM) and asking them to re-create my experience onTuesday night -- this will (I've been told by Smith Barney) catch whatever glitch that showed I received 0 Shares. Armed with that I'll have (in Smith Barney's words) "a pretty strong case."

I have my doubts about a glitch that has since been fixed showing up again in any re-creation. But, I'm reserving from any further arguments until I hear what IDEAL has to say for themselves. What an xperience this whole thing has been. Utterly fascinating. A pain in the you-know-what. But a learner, for sure. For one thing, I am going to become best friends with the SCREEN SHOT function of my computer!

Speaking of, can someone tell me how to take s SCREEN SHOT on a mac? Or should I go ask another forum that?

nshreiber~
good luck with that, PLEASE keep us posted as to your progress...
What is that smell? Can you spell class-action suit???

hope this helps, good luck~

whatever the case, I am not complaining, I am disappointed I was not able to purchase, when I put in my offer on May 8th. I have been left with the feeling that it wasn't "a lottery" at all, but rather, those who were purchasing the most shares were given the top priority. If that was the case, they never should have offered it for the minimum, they should have stated the minimum amount to be purchased was 1000, instead of 100.
Good Luck to everyone who was allotted this opportunity.
I will just purchase it on the open market...
for alot less.

Uhhhh... That was exactly what was stated for the distribution of shares. If the IPO shares were oversubscribed (which they were). They would reduce the allocations by up to 75% and if that still did not cover all of the requests, they would fill the largest orders first and work their way down per allocation until they ran out of shares to give out. The only time a lottery came into play was with the last level of orders to be filled (in this case 200 share requests). Here the allocations were placed at 100 and since there weren't enough shares to go around they had a lottery to determing who got shares.

The stock opened up today! The rally has begun! $50 here we come! BTW, nice comeback when presented with the facts that directly dispute what you're complaining about.

Ditto the experience of seeing 0 shares allocated...

I made a bid of 500, checked back regularly, finally got notified that I received 0 shares, and then stopped looking.

But... I happened to look back at this discussion forum later that night, and found out that others had seen 0 shares, then found an allocation assigned later on, so I trotted back over to vonageipo and found that I was a stockholder, after all!

Definitely something whacked-out in the data served by Vonage's web agent. My condolances to the folks who couldn't bail out and protect their investment dollars. (I did watch... but I didn't bail out...)

Sounds like they turned off the "check back later message" before they populated the database with the allocation results. Oops...

Dconnor,

Please don't offer nonsense if you are not prepared to back it up. This is definitely not a "refresh" issue as so clearly pointed out by previous posters. Vonage's attempt to lure investors has been rife with deception from the outset. Sure, this website error may be unintentional, but it is Vonage's responsibility. Please don't common this board (I don't care if you are the admin) schilling for Vonage and then excuse yourself from the debate. That is just pathetic.

I couldnt agree with you more Will, maybe it was a blessing in disguise that I wasnt able to get the shares I had proposed to acquire at the begining of this month.
Mr. Conner,
if this site IS IN FACT not endorsed, sponsored, provided, owned or otherwise controlled by Vonage, stop trying to lobby for the company.
What is wrong is wrong, and you know it, its just a matter of time before this comes to a head.

LOL, ok, back in:

First: Don't shoot the messenger here. I feel awful for anyone who might have had this happen to them.

Second: I am sorry, but based on the following info it appears to have been cache issue:

Log off and back on vonageipo.com and you will probalby see an allocation.

You need to log off and back on the vonageipo.com site. All requests for 2000 were filled with 500.

You say you requested 1600 you should have been allocated 400. If you log off and back on the vonageipo.com web site you should see the 400 allocation.

It did not help to go back and resign, I still got 0. But after rebooting I went back in and saw 400 shares.

I have seen all those posts. But people who are on these boards might have seen them. But what about all the people who bought the stock and never visited this site.

I have a feeling that if this many people out of the members of the forum had the problem then you have to think how many that have not visited this site had the same problem.

Something should be done about this...
