Since the end of April, I have been attempting to port one of my Vonage numbers to Comcast Digital Voice. It is my desire to begin a documented side-by-side test of QOS issues for a period of 90-days.
It is my desire to continue as a Vonage customer due to the advertised features, price, and the portability of your number. I have demonstrated a willingness to do what ever I can to promote Vonage as a choice in the future. That said, Vonage needs to prove to its' customers that future service will be reliable even if they have to raise the cost to do so.
For the past 8-months, I have had one trouble after another and been forced to do my own troubleshooting due to Vonage's lack of customer support. At my expense, I have replaced routers, modems and spent hundreds of hours of my time. Due to the good people of this forum and VP level assistance from Comcast, I have had more success than just working alone.
Today I called, 732-528-2600 option 2 then enter 248766, Jeff Citron ... reaching his voice mail I left a detailed message and requested a prompt response to the porting issues. I will post the progress, in detail, as it happens. |
