I finally got my Vonage working again behind my new Dlink DGL4100 router thanks in part to the advice of members here. My Voip is running beautiful.. no problems. However I am recieving consistant messages from the DGL4100 that it is dropping or blocking packets from the RTP300.
A whois search shows that these blocked packets are usually the RTP300 attempting to talk either "internet data registry servers" for various regions or a Vonage server. I'm not too worried since I have no issues with phone service, but i would like to eliminate these errors if possible to avoid potential problems.
192.168.1.105 is the IP address my DGL4100 assigns to the RTP300 and `192.168.3.1 is the RTP300's internal IP address
I am recieving messages that look something like this every few minutes:
[INFO] Wed May 24 14:11:02 2006 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.1.105 to 68.35.128.109 [INFO] Wed May 24 14:11:02 2006 Previous message repeated 1 time [INFO] Wed May 24 14:08:31 2006 Dropped packet from 192.168.3.1 to 224.0.0.2 that was received from the wrong network interface (IP address spoofing) [INFO] Wed May 24 14:07:41 2006 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.1.105 to 212.102.146.117 [INFO] Wed May 24 14:07:41 2006 Previous message repeated 5 times [INFO] Wed May 24 14:07:29 2006 Blocked outgoing ICMP packet (ICMP type 3) from 192.168.1.105 to 69.59.248.31 [INFO] Wed May 24 14:06:32 2006 Dropped packet from 192.168.3.1 to 224.0.0.2 that was received from the wrong network interface (IP address spoofing)
Anyone have any idea how I can clear up these problems?
