They only had a limited amount of shares for the customers. I guess that the requests were much more than they thought. So i guess they are going to give them to the people who are willing to put up more money. I asked for 1000 and i got 300 so i guess i am lucky. I saw on another thread that someone asked for 5000 and got 0.

It's supply and demand. Not enough shares for everyone to get everything they want. Anyone who made a conditional offer should have read the allocation rules and been ready to get ZERO.

That's what I got, a goose egg. I had picked UBS. Fastest way I have ever seen to turn friends into enemies. I will consider cancelling my service as soon as my referral credit runs out, lol..

The Stock Market is just another form of Legal Gambling. So you have to say this that if you didnt get any shares then you didnt win or lose. You now have no chance of losing anything other than the dream of making some quick cash. Sorry to all those who didnt get any shares but that is how the gamble works.

Guys, you can still own VG - just buy at the open. If you believe in the company - this is another solution.

I do think it was a bad idea not to fill all the 100 share orders, but I bet that this was a Underwriter decision and not a Vonage decision.

Think about it from Citibank or UBS's perspective - why go through all the paperwork for a $1700 account - when you can allocate it to a bigger fish instead.

I am SURE VG would have preferred the smaller customers get filled first, because they are more likely to be the "buy-and-hold" type. My gut tells me this was not their decision.
