For the past few weeks I've been receiving calls from an "unknown" name and number which shows up as anonymous on my vonage web account. When I answer these calls it's just beeping. Sometimes it can call within a few minutes apart, and other times it could be hours apart. I haven't given my number to anwhere that would solicate it. Has anyone else had this experience? Or possibly know what it could be?
Thanx in advance. |

My guess is that someone may have mistaken your number for a fax number and their machine keeps calling to send the fax. |

You may want to call 888 250-1799, Direct to human being, and tell them you have "choppy audio" and they will put you through to English Speaking Customer Support in New Jersey.
Although it may be a fax machine programmed with your number by mistake and after enough failed attempts they will correct the error. |

You may have to wait until Monday during regular working hours to get the job done! |

Well so far it's been a few weeks or so, and I haven't gotten the beeps, but I have noticed I got a few calls which were the wrong number...seems like vonage snags up dropped numbers and uses them for their customers. |

Well I called the number provided above and after 32 minutes of being on hold (thank GOD for speakerphone) and then being put on hold again till the 52 minute mark .... I got to talk to an American!
He said the problem is not on thier side, most likely a fax or computer was calling me. He offered to change my number, I delined.
I thanked him ever so much for not being Indian. |
