I picked SB (maybe because I was too lazy to read all of the info on the other brokers) and just assumed that my limited brokerage account would give me online access to trade with.
I called SB today because I've read a number of posts here that eluded to the fact that SB uses would have to call in to place limit/sell orders. I was told for those that might still have questions... That SB does not know if we will have online access for trading. I was told that once I receive notification of my allocation and a broker is assigned, that I should call my broker and ask about online access.
Just thought I would share with the group. |

How come you chose SB? UBS is half as cheap to sell the shares. I just signed up for UBS online. |

Didn't read closely, thought commisison was a maximum of $50, not a minimum of $50... and UBS conversation to a "full" account with a $150 annual fee also scared me as well as not disclosing the transfer fee... Anyone have an idea why UBS SEC fee is less than the other two?
I hope Smith Barney can gets us on-line access before opening...
Smith Barney Commission: $0.12 per share with a minimum of $50. Transaction: $5.00 per trade SEC Fee: $0.0000418 for each dollar Transfer: $95.00 Annual Fee: $0.00
Deutsche Bank Alex.Brown Commission: $0.12 per share with a minimum of $50. Transaction: $7.50 per trade SEC Fee: $0.0000418 for each dollar Transfer: $50.00 Annual Fee: $0.00
UBS Commission: $0.06 per share with a minimum of $50. Transaction: $5.25 per trade SEC Fee: $0.0000301 for each dollar Transfer: $??.?? Annual Fee: $150.00 starting 30-60 days after the IPO |

If I were to hold the stock, I would ACAT out there to my online broker anyways. But I don't intend on holding for more than 2-5 days so I chose the cheapest broker.
I would guess UBS subsidizes a part of the SEC fee. |

The transfer fee applies to moving your stock from the limited account to a regular account correct? |
