The only softphone that has instant messaging software i have found is at www.tpad.com - which is simple to use.

Anyone know if there are any others? - nothing too complicated.

Have you heard of R HUB it is a great product that supports all types of conferencing and messaging its a great product which i am using http://rhubcom.com

its very easy to use and doesn't requires any type of download.

Skype is the best deal for instant messagings with so many value added tools- its the best freeware for IMs. But using it for conferencing or video streamings over net is not as secure. Google it to read reviews on their security loopholes..I think as the guy said above - Rhubcom's turbomeeting web conferencing appliance is the best bet for implementing secured on-promise conferencing with multi-functions including interactive meetings, seminars, remote support and remote access.
