Issue: Outgoing calls so garbled it is unusable. Vonage has had me connect the routers in all kinds of configurations with no luck.

1. Location: Fort Knox, KY
2. ISP name: Insight - broadband cable
3. upload/download - 354 upload 123 download
4. Modem - Arris Modem - CM450A is the model number
5. Vonage router - RT31P2
6. setup: modem ---> rt31p2 ---> wireless router (WRT54GS)

The testyourvoip results varies alot. See two different test about 20 minutes apart.

you have one of the worst connections ever. you need to call insight and tell them you're having slow internet and all kinds of problems loading web pages, etc. with those speeds and pings, you might as well have dialup.

Agreed. But to be absolutely certain that the Vonage equipment is not at fault, plug your computer directly into the modem and repeat your Voip and speed tests. If things improve dramatically, then you need to check out your two routers. Otherwise jack up your ISP as Reebok said.
