I tried it this morning, followed the steps to the letter and it works perfectly. The F1000 is now configured with the softphone SIP address which can be used in place of the softphone on the PC.
This is how Voip should be - total choice of device you want to connect. Next is to find a cheap SIP phone on Ebay and use that too. SIP will only allow one device to be connected at any time.
Vonage is no better than Skype trying to lock customers in with proprietary configured hardware.
