I did not call Jim, I went down to the comcast equipment office and swapped the modem out. If you are leasing you should have no problem getting a new modem. I need to check the brand they gave me but it not a motorola modem. |

Thanks - if you could let me know the brand/model #, then i could try that out... maybe it is a cable modem problem!

Did you try taking the router out of the equation to test packet loss. I used Ping Plotter and found a lot of packet loss. Just swap out the modem any modem with probably do as long as your not expericing any packet loss. |

Yes, i've tried taking the router out of the equation. Router is not the issue. Modem may/may not be the issue... that's what i'm trying to determine. From reading through this thread, it's more likely a bad line somewhere underground, but who knows!

Start with your modem first then go from there. |
