Hello all! I have had Vonage for several months now and love it! I'd like to cancel my secondary Verizon line (which is for fax, credit card machine and some voice) and open up a second line with Vonage. I have their unlimited plan right now for my main voice number, but don't need that for a secondary line. What exactly do I get with their Fax line at $9.99/m? Do I get all the features with local and long distance or is everything cut out or should I chose the $14.99/m voice plan? What exactly is included with the Fax line plan?
Thank you! |

From http://www.vonage.com/features.php?feature=fax:
Quote: | Residential Customers Can Get a Dedicated Fax Line for Only $9.99 Per Month
Less than a separate fax line from your old phone company, a Vonage fax line is only $9.99 per month with a one-time $9.99 activation fee. You get 250 minutes of local and long distance outgoing fax service plus unlimited incoming faxes each month. Extra local and long distance outgoing fax minutes are only 3.9 cents per minute. Outgoing international faxes are billed at our low international rates. |

I am not sure about Caller ID, but all other features are striped. |

That is what I thought. I called Vonage twice and had two different CSR's tell me that everything was included?
Does anyone actually have the fax line on here and could tell me? |

You said, "I am not sure about Caller ID" I assumed you didn't have the line. Can you check and see if Caller ID is included or anything else? |

If you are using it for FAX and a Credit Card Machine then it would serve your purpose. If you use it for occasional voice calls it should serve your purpose. If you want a full featured second line, then it sounds to me like it won't meet your needs.
Is there a specific need for Caller ID -- such as you wanting to receive voice calls on this line -- in which case you should spring for the extra $5 per month and just add another line... |

I want Caller ID for the occasional incoming voice calls and maybe for my fax machine Caller ID display. The other stuff I can live without, but any features that are there are great. Caller ID yes or no? |
