Hi, I'm a Vonage Customer for more than a year. For the past 2 weeks, I'm unable to receive incoming calls but I don't have any problem making calls(outbound). Sometimes I hear the phone ring (even CallerId is correctly displayed) but when I try to pick up the call, it becomes blank with no-dial tone. And the people who are trying to reach me complaints they are unable to get through my line (they hear beep-beep noise).
I tried customer support last week, as a standard procedure I was asked to do un-plug phone-jack/power jack/ router etc. Not sure whether Vonage is overloaded with Customers and unable to manage routing calls???
It is really frustrating, does anyone have the same problem in 408 area code?
Thanks |

I've been having the same problem here (206 Area Code)... my callers say that the phone just keeps ringing and ringing. I also use Simulring... when I try to answer on my cell, I get the same blank no audio, and my callers say that it never stopped ringing.
I am getting caller ID information. This is effecting both my line 1 and 2.
ALSO... my VM dial tone alert won't stop. |

I belong to the 408 area too and its frustrating. Sometimes people just cannot call my number and ity goes to the voice mail directly. Is there any solution for this? |

Same problem here. Outbound working fine. 360 area code.
Inbound calls either get an "all circuits busy" message, or it just keeps ringing for them, while we get caller id data and the phone rings. But when we pick up, there's no one there. Then the phone rings again with that caller id info.
About 5-10% of the time, a call will be completed. This was on 3 different Vonage accounts, using different ISPs.
Their tech support was worse than useless yesterday. They weren't even able to remember what the issue was. After describing it, and them "testing" and calling us back several times, they were like "So, your outbound calls are working now?"
We have a fiber internet connection, which has been flawless. And we do network/firewall support, and we haven't made any changes to our setup.
We had been setup for getting in on the IPO, but after this lack of service and support, we cancelled our order yesterday. |

Sounds like a local phone carrier issue? |

Same issue in area code 253. Outbound calls are flawless, inbound calls are intermittent. Either the caller gets an all circuits are busy or the message that the subscriber is currently unavailable. We see the Caller ID and the phone rings, but it is silent when we pick it up |

Same issue here in the 831 area code. Phone rings with caller ID. I pick up and there is nothing, then my cell phone rings, because the call was forwarded. It just keeps reazpeating. callers say that it either keeps rining or somethimes goes right to voicemail. Sometimes they get all circuits busy.
This is happenning with my sisters account as well.
831 and 510 area codes. 2 different ISP's. |

I'm in 253, called tier 2 support yesterday for the tenth time in the last 2 weeks and he finally just came out and said yeah, it's a Vonage problem effecting 206, 253, and on and on....I dont' know about the other area codes, but he said 253 was supposed to get repaired last night and so far so good with no problems today.
So, don't let them put you through the re-boot dance - it's a Vonage problem and ask them when it will be fixed. |

I had the problem yesterday with 408. I made a call to myself and got the message that "All Circuits are busy, try your call later". Spoke to support who told me they are having problems in a few area codes (one being 408) and that they were working on the problem. Check the service today and the problem seems to be gone. Strange that the problem is gone for me but the other 408's are still seeing issues. |

I have had this problem in area code 203 but I live in area code 914. My ISP is Optimum (cablevision). Vonage says it is the ISP or my linksys router. This problem has become cronic. Has anyone else diagnosed this further? If it continues I will be forced to drop Vonage service which up until Feb of this year was great for over a year when I lived in area code 203. I recently moved to area code 914 but kept my 203 numbers.
