Is it possible to fax through Line 1 on the Linksys RT31P2 box? I have my Macintosh connected to Line 1, and send a 2 page fax, and it takes the Mac 5 minutes, and then it says "Completed", but the other party I faxed too, tells me they never receieved the fax, but their fax machine DID pick up to my Macs call to it...

You better call them and make sure. Faxing on your line 1 isn't officially supported even when using *99...but it does help. The only "official" way to fax with Vonage is to sign up for a fax line.

nope - the only difference is the price the limited # on minutes and no voicemail / and other un-needed features on a fax line
the thing to fax successfully is to slow down the speed to 9600 baud
not all machines will work but a lot will. i have had no problems faxing from my voice line
the only other thing to do would be to tell Vonage you have a tivo and they can change 1 or 2 settings in your box to help data transmissions be more reliable.
