How do you set the date and time on the IP811 V-tech 5.8GHz Broadband cordless phone?I have had several calls in ex: this morning a call at 9:11 am 5/17 showed up as 9/10 5:47am.
I have looked at all the papers that came with it and even in the menu on the phone with no luck.
Any ideas appreciated. Thanks |

Time is included in the caller ID information. Phones that keep track of time typically just set it from the caller ID information, the IP8100 may be different however since it is an IP phone.
In that case the phone is most likely trying to set its clock from an NTP server. If you are behind a firewall you may need to open the port (123:udp). |

You do need to have the proper time zone set up in the dashboard. Although it should be the hours that are off and not the minutes.
Make sure that information is accurate though. |

The placed calls and recieved calls times look to be exact to what my time zone is which is central. And it is set to Central in the "Account" tab. Thanks again. |

I had the same thing happen this week. Actually it started 5/14. I got a call at 5:03PM 5/13, the next call i got was around 8:30 AM 5/14, CID showed 3:54PM 9/8. The dates have been progressing everyday, 9/9, 9/10, 9/11, and tonight I got a call at 10:22PM 5/17 and it showing correct. Go figure? |

Having the same problem here since moving my phone to Vonage. The caller ID time stamp is showing dates in September, and the times are wrong also.
Is this a Vonage issue? |
