"Even some of us natives can't even pronounce some words properly mind you a lot don't even know grammar composition"

I agree. If you read some of the posts on this forum, you can see that. No

I guess its unfair to say that people mispronounce Vonage because most agents from Vonage are using english as a second language (ESL), especially the level 1 tech support folks. Some locals also mispronounce it as Vontage, even when you correct them. Lets be sensitive with our comments and jokes.

I couldn't agree with Beloy more. Even some of us natives can't even pronounce some words properly mind you a lot don't even know grammar composition so who are we to judge these people offshore. We are all human too so everybody commits mistakes besides I do agree some of them even speak impeccable English! We should treat one another as brothers and sisters so let's not argue who speaks english better...we are all beautiful...I am gorgeous. LOL... So how about a group hug? ROFL

Hahaha.... Nice humor. Smile

Most customers I have delt with in the Chicago market have this weird obsession with calling it,

Vontage.

or Vownagge.

and then also Vonage but with a french accent.

drives me nuts. Vontage is the worst tho, Where does the T come from???!?!?

Hey Fire...

I know where the "T" came from. Cover your nostrils and say Vonage. You'll be surprised! I did this by accident. LMAO! Lol

Wow. What a bunch of humorless and whiney people.

Yeah, working in one of the on shore tech sites, it's a bother trying to correct the inability to pronounce words correctly. One of our personal favorites here is Wonage. It's a mispronunciation of our 'brothers and sisters' use commonly.

And no. I personally don't have an issue with people with ESL, it's just aggravating to try and assist someone who cannot, or will not, pronounce things correctly. Like Linksys. It puts me up a wall when they, not just customer but techs as well, say Link-skeez or Link-see. Or ethernet. Has no one ever heard of ether? Argh. Just a bit of a small rant.

And again, I'm not aiming my complaints to anyone or any group in specific, just to those who are against change and those with the ability to improve upon their vocabulary.

If anyone is offended by anything I've said, please enjoy my freedom of speech.

That, my friend, has got to be the best thing I've heard on this forum yet. Applause

Thank you dearest forum user. I'm glad my humor and decent use of the English language has brought a smile to your face. It's nice to hear positive things on forums once in a while. Again, thank you for the compliment. It will not go unnoticed. Wink
