With these adapters, the "version" tends to be a firmware version now rather than actual hardware version. I'm not sure what the current FW version for the 2442 is, nor how to pull it up through the web interface (haven't seen one of these in person yet).

After three attempts to get this answered via email (I sent "mail" through the
Vonage
website), I'm wondering if there is a better email address to use...like
support@vonage.com
or something like that. ANy hints?

Update to the saga of the Voice Mail Indicator Light on the Motorola VT2442:
After three attempts to send email to
Vonage
asking about this problem, I got creative. I went to the Motorola Site and read a news article about how
Vonage
selects the VT2442 adapter. At the end of the article there were some contact email addresses. I sent a copy of my request I'd sent to
Vonage
three times to the
Vonage
contact email -- that was this past weekend.
This morning, Monday, I have an email from a very nice person with the Executive Response Team telling me what I was looking for all along. It is a known problem, Motorola is working on a fix, and that in the mean time I will have to rely on the stutter tone to indicate voice mail is waiting.
I would have liked to get some timeframe as to when Motorola is expected to fix the problem, but heck, I'm just happy that I received a reply. Why does it have to get to the Executive Response Team to get any attention? Is this team like 1,200 people big? I think
Vonage
needs to re-think all of their customer care decisions...

I guess I have created two threads. Maybe one should be shot, or they should both be combined...
Sorry

Well, as long as we don't shoot the participants...
Did Motorola say anything about the extra light on one version of the adapter?

I didn't ask. I did notice that I have hardware version 2 for what that's worth...
