LNP from RCN - 2 months and counting

RCN could not have been more helpful - they've looked into the matter twice and twice came back saying they got no LOA and given me the contact where it should be sent. Vonage, on the other hand, has failed to provide me with any information. Every few days I call them, they "escalate" this to their LNP department and 2 days later I get an email sayin they don't have a transfer date yet.

Trying to explain that they don't have a date because RCN never received a request is like talking to the wall. "I'll document it", "I'll keep on it", "no further information I can give you".

So far I've wasted $780 in RCN bills and 12 hours of my life on this and I plan to get back every penny.

It has been over 2 months now and still my number transfer didn't happen. I keep getting the same excuses that you do. I have called customer service several times. I also was transferred to the credit department when I requested a credit on my bill. I was on hold for one hour before I hung up and called back.....of course I received the obligatory apology and was asked if I wanted to hold again (no, I'd rather stick bamboo chutes in my fingernails). I have one phone connected to my old phone service (comcast) and the other phone is connected to the Vonage router. I tried to call my home phone with the Vonage phone and my cell phone rang ??????? I thought maybe that I dialed incorrectly, so I dialed it again......and again my cell phone rang. That I really do not understand. I hope they haven't really screwed up my phone services here. I don't know where they got my cell phone number from....I wrote them an email and said that if they don't get their act together that they would be speaking to my lawyer. We'll see what happens.......
