I have had Vonage for over a year and a half!
For the last 4 months my call display is not working correctly! I get the number twice on my call display, instead of the name and number. The name display rarely works anyways on incoming calls.
But it is rather annoying to see on my call display this as a example!
1-555-555-1212 1-555-555-1212
I called tech support but they are pretty much useless on the problem, and after numerous calls to them hours on hold nothing has been resolved!
My PAP2 has been placed on their debug server, numerous setting changed by Vonage, phone plugged directly into the PAP2. Numerous phones tried. PAP2 resets etc, to no avail.
Personally i think my PAP2 is screwed up as it work flawless for a year and a bit, now this issue has sprung up.
According to Vonage everything is working fine on their end, but if my call display is showing data twice on a call for the incoming number this is not the case.
How can i get these monkeys to acknowledge my PAP2 is screwed up, as all it seems is they have brushed me off with this issue!!

What do you see as the Caller ID info when you log into the website? If you see the same info (number twice) then the problem is not your PAP2. If this is the case then the PAP2 is just sending the Caller ID info that it is receiving from the Vonage servers.
If you do see info on the website that includes the name (for matching calls when you did not see the info then the problem may be on your end. |

For a while it showed the number twice on the website log. Since it doesn't anymore, i assume Vonage cleared up the problem on their end.
Which leaves me to believe my PAP2 is the cause of this issue now. |

So, you are saying that is someone calls you today, you see the number twice on your Caller ID box (or on your phone) but then if you look at the website that you see the name and number for that same call?
There are many calls where I receive the number twice for the Caller ID info, but when that happens I also see the same display on the website. It even seems that for the same caller sometimes I get the name and sometimes I do not. I have seen this most often when calling home from my cellphone. It just seems that sometimes that switch at Vonage does not do the caller name lookup when the call comes in and it sends the number twice.
I have never seen the info on my Caller ID display on my phone not match what is on the website. In every case (even when I have received strange Caller ID displays) the website matched what I received. This tells me that the PAP2 is working fine on my end. There is one caller that I only see "533" and "533" in the Caller ID display. The same (incolmpete) number twice. I believe this is from a misconfigured PBX sending incomplete Caller ID info to the phone network. |

I have the exact same problem with my pap2 in regards to no call display name, so you're not alone.
