I've been using Vonage for about a week now. Relatively happy with one exception. In the week of use we have had about 30 incoming calls. Of those calls we know of 4 specific times when a caller has heard us when we answer but we can't hear them. We suspect another 2 or 3 calls may have been like that as well.

Here's the detailed info...

1. Your location Andover, MA (North of Boston)
2. Your ISP name and type (cable, DSL, wireless etc) ComCast
3. Upload and download speeds 6.35Mpbs, 374Kbps
4. Modem make and model LynkSys WCG200
5. Type of Vonage adapter used ie RT31P2 or PAP2 VT2442
6. Setup of Network Modem---->Vonage Adapter-->PC
7. Issue you are experiencing ie dropped calls, choppy audio etc Phone rings, can't hear person on other end...they can hear me
8. DETAILED results from www.testyourvoip.com with a test call to Boston.

I really like the savings, but this is a problem. I have also been told -- by one attempted caller -- they called my number and got a disconnected message. They hung up and called back and got through. I don't like that either...

I don't see anything about your setup or your Voip results that would explain the problem. I'm afraid you're in for a session with customer service. You may have a flakey adapter.

Since you didn't mention any wireless components, I won't ask about cordless phones. Have you tried re-booting the entire system, bringing things back up in the correct order (modem, wait, adapter, computer)? If you haven't, you should.

No wireless phone, just a wireless laptop to the WCG200. I think I have done the power cycle thing, but I will do that again before I have to face customer service.
