Post subject: Vonage voicemail advertising? Grr.
I've had two emails from
Vonage
about upgrading my service to premium at whatever this offer is they've got now, which I don't want to do.
Then on top of a load of solicitation crap (one or two empty long voicemails every day) I've got from MCI recently, I just got a 'junk' voicemail from
Vonage
.
Bah, I'm just ****, but it's a bit annoying.

Look at it this way,
Vonage
is showing that they care, and
want to make sure you know it.
Over and Over again.

I already have the unlimited service and on the flip side I was sure happy to get the email that they were lowering my bill. that has never happend in the past from any company that I have done business with. It was always up to you to find out there was a better rate or plan. I wish every company would call me or email me with a better deal than I have now.
you can forward all your emails to me at my address. I will enjoy reading every one of them. I bet you hope they call you when the unlimited calling reaches $15.00.

If you ask
vonage
to stop spamming/junk emailing you and calling you, Im sure they would stop. If they dont then they would be only contradicting their
spamming policy
email them at
customercare@
vonage
.com and tell them what you think

Post subject: Vonage = Spammer
Hi,
I canceled my
vonage

Someone on this form suggesting to ask them to remove you from their list.....Hey who has time to deal with each spammer...But yes I do asked
vonage
not to spam me...
I receive at least one spam email everyday from
Vonage
...It is a third party company do the dirty work for them...
I hope All IP range of

So you think that
Vonage
provides their customer list to a third-party and pays them to email you asking you to "switch to
VoIP
" without ever mentioning you'd be switching to
Vonage
? That's probably the dumbest marketing campaign of all time.
Just because
Vonage
's address is listed at the bottom doesn't mean it is from
Vonage
. Considering you call yourself a web server admin, I'd think you would know better.
Vonage
would just send you an email directly, and they would certainly use their brand-name in the marketing. That happens all the time with
Vonage
, which is exactly why they have the "spam-police@
vonage
.com" account.
A couple years ago, I was a domain admin/Exchange admin for one of the "Big 4" US accounting firms (still work there, but in a better position). That address is actually on a list of "unwanted domains" that do spam. Mesa Media is also associated with EK-Post, and it's more likely that somewhere along the way (not necessarily the
Vonage
user agreement), you inadvertently accepted an agreement where you authorized the release of your information to third-party agents.
Oh...and hoping "all IP range of
vonage
will be blocked soon" is a nice touch.

Not only that, being a web admin, this user should know how readily available and INEXPENSIVE Anti-spam filters cost these days!

If this company does not affiliate with
Vonage
, how come this company is even providing its mailing address, and do not hide its identity..........Why do not
Vonage
sue them ....?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Running an anti spam applications...? Let me enlighting you a little bit..
Anti spam systems work with word filtering and black list databases like spamcop, spamhaus etc...
If a spamer use a fresh IP# to spam...and if they use a whole picture like
vonage
, then your anti spam application is useless..
Plus all anti spam systems use your server resources...
Should I pay extra to get this system, spent my time to configurate it and run it and use my resources to protect myself from
Vonage
?
(btw..I already have anti-spam system on my servers...)
Vonage
is spamming my business email accounts..It is the cheapest and most unethical way to promote your business..
You can defend them as much as you want....But they are spamming.....I already passed all those spams to
Vonage
..still receiving same spams...
Some readings...Not hard to find bunch of them online..

What am I missing here? Besides an email header showing a 'from' address of "
vonage
@ emailaxe. info" (spacing intentional on my part) I see nothing to indicate the email was from
Vonage
. The email address is not from a
vonage
.com domain, the mailing address is in Florida, and
Vonage
is in New Jersey. These emails are possibly coming from someone who is trying to make money by having people sign up for
Vonage
through a "referral" link.
It's just like the spam we all get for Viagra and Cialis. It doesn't come from the drug maker, but from someone trying to make money selling products produced by others.
Personally, I've been using
Vonage
since June of last year, and I have yet to receive
any
kind of spam referring to
VoIP
of any brand.
(BTW "timus", it is not called "vam". The popular term is "spit",

I AM NOT the one calling "vam" ........
ANY DECENT Company out there will not affiliate itself with a spamming company....
We all know that
Vonage
is spamming.....
I do not think
vonage
is that stupid to use its own domain name.. come one even the smallest spammers do not use their own domains and IPs...
You need to understand that I am trying to make a case against all spamers...
You guys are defending a spamer or a company who works with spamers
I received 3 more same spam to my mail box from same company...
I think
Vonage
should be the last company to affiliate itself with spaming...
Why ? You will see soon........
Thanks
